First launched on Nintendo 3DS, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is making the jump to Nintendo Switch on June 27. The Switch version, dubbed Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, enhances the charming adventure with refreshed graphics and quality-of-life gameplay updates that bring the game closer to its sequel, Luigi's Mansion 3, while keeping the 3DS original's content intact--including all the same puzzles, enemies, and even the ScareScraper multiplayer mode. Preorders for Luigi's Mansion 2 HD are available now. Like most Nintendo games, only one version of Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for Switch is up for grabs, and there are no preorder bonuses included. It simply includes the base game with no additional goodies. Nevertheless, you can preorder physical copies of Luigi's Mansion 2 for $60 online at Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. Walmart also has preorder copies available, but only in-store. Digital preorders are also available. Our Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon review gave the original game solid marks for its charming characters and atmospheric levels, though its lack of checkpoints and difficulty spikes made the adventure more challenging than expected. However, thanks to the Switch version's graphical and gameplay tweaks, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD looks to be the ideal way to experience Luigi's second ghost-hunting adventure in 2024. The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Silmarillion are all getting multiple new collector's editions later this year, giving Tolkien fans a new way to display their favorite books in their home. Each of the books are premium hardcover editions featuring striking new cover designs, and some include interior illustrations or additional slipcases. All told, six revised books are launching in the coming months--and since they're bound to be popular, reserving a copy today is a solid idea. Here's a look at what's up for grabs. The Hobbit Collector's Edition costs $36 and arrives on August 6. The hardcover volume features a unique cover design, foil stamping, stained edges, and a ribbon bookmark, making it one of the most premium versions of The Hobbit on the market. However, you'll also find The Hobbit Deluxe Illustrated arriving on October 22. This $195 tome is seeing an early preorder discount, bringing it to just $151.
