Circana, the research group formerly known as NPD, has published its latest monthly US sales report, providing an updated look at the best-selling games of 2024 thus far. With the October report, nothing changes at the top, with EA Sports College Football 25 remaining No. 1. CFB 25 was the first new entry in EA's series in 10 years, dating back to NCAA Football 14 in 2013. It continues to perform well following its launch in July. EA's pro football game, Madden, is also performing well, landing at No. 6 overall for 2024 so far. Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the biggest new release for October, and after just a few days on sale, it reached No. 3 for 2024 so far. The game is also available on Game Pass, which no doubt impacted physical game sales. PS4 and PS5 game sales for Black Ops 6 made up 82% of all Black Ops 6 sales on console for dollar sales volume in October in the US. Microsoft previously stated that Xbox is the biggest platform for Black Ops 6, which seems to suggest Game Pass is having a big effect. The reporting period for the charts below covers December 30, 2023 through November 2, 2024. Read on to see the top 20 best-selling games of 2024 so far. Bear in mind, the list includes dollar sales, as well as physical and digital data from many publishers, but not all (Nintendo does not share digital data, for example). These rankings also do not include add-on content and microtransaction revenue.
