Variety just broke the news that Paramount has made the decision to push the “G.I. Joe Retaliation” movie, slated to be released June 29th, 2012 out almost a full year to March 29th, 2013 in order to convert it to 3-D.

I’m sure that decision will wreak havoc with Hasbro, who would have had the movie product in the pipeline and ready to be released next month.   The latest trailer was just released a few weeks back and their talent has already been in place to do publicity, and much of the print campaign is already in the works.
