One Direction definitely took a "How To Be The Perfect Boy Band" class.
Not to toot our own horn or anything, but we're pretty sure we were some of the first people who started pumping One Direction in our headphones. There's been a serious lack of boy band-ness stateside, and the U.K. lads are here to change that problem (alongside MTV Push alums The Wanted). One Direction hit the stage at the "Today" show this morning, and somehow the world is still spinning. (Though maybe not for long. Those solar flares sound pretty awful.)
We love that this photo looks like both a Tommy Hilfiger ad and a "How To Dress Like You're In A Boy Band" stock image. Everyone's got their own swagger (I'm looking at you, Harry Styles -- and I think that's okay because I know how old your ex-girlfriend was), but they still look like a solid unit. Also, no offense to the OGs NSYNC, but how lucky are One Direction that they're doing this whole boy band thing in 2012 and not in 1998? Matching overalls don't exactly stand the test of time.
One Direction's Up All Night hits stores tomorrow.
