Lady Gaga celebrates Marilyn Monroe.

While we were glued to the TV watching a 6-year-old spell really big words last night, Lady Gaga was in her hotel room dolling herself up to look like Marilyn Monroe in honor of what would have been the infamous American icon's 86th birthday. And we have to say: girl isn't scaring us for once looks STUNNING -- we want tons more of this kind of dress-up (and way less of this kind).

The "Marry The Night" singer shared a photo of her latest transformation on Twitter along with a fashionably empowering caption: "#HappyBirthdayMarilyn They'll never take our blonde hair and lipstick." And while Gaga may be a bit down about all the Indonesian protests against her, she was recently reminded of just how many people love her: Gaga hit a record-breaking 25 million Twitter followers! That's 3 million more than Justin Bieber!
