Bloc Party is back together again with 'Octopus.'
The last time we heard from Bloc Party, things were not so good. The band had all but broken up, and frontman Kele Okereke had moved on to solo work (and picked up "Sexiest Man in Indie Rock 2012" bragging rights. Holla back!!). It left many fans (ourselves included) wondering when the beloved Brits would pick up their instruments again and bring the catchy art-punk tunes we fell so hard for. So it's with unending joy that we type the following: Bloc Party is back together, and, even better, they have a new video called "Octopus." And what the video lacks in actual cephalopods, it makes up for with swirling primary colors and the occasional rhythmic gymnast. (Not sure when the last time we typed "rhythmic gymnast" was, but we're grateful to Bloc Party for the all-too-rare opportunity.)
"Octopus" is the first single off of Bloc Party's upcoming fourth album, appropriately titled Four, out Aug. 21.
