Green Day's "Oh Love" makes 2012 sound like 1994.

Last month Green Day broke the news that they're working on three forthcoming albums, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!. And finally, we get to hear what the highly anticipated project will sound like with the release of "Oh Love." The lyric video released by the pop-punkers show a return to form, backing off of the political themes they've addressed on recent albums, getting back to the classic vox-driven rock sound and clever wordplay that catapulted them to fame in the early '90s.

Bassist Mike Dirnt told Rolling Stone about the decision to return to their older sound, saying "We were just thinking about making a killer power-pop record – dirtier, back to basics." No complaints over here.
