Kelly Clarkson slays her cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak." But DUH.

Kelly Clarkson has been on a cover-song spree of sorts, and her latest cover endeavor may be her best one yet. Kelly recently put her own spin on Britney Spears' "Everytime," and though we didn't think anything could top that monumental Kelly/Britney moment, Clarkson's rendition of No Doubt's "Don't Speak" may have just done it.

While out on her "Stronger" tour the Best Video With A Message VMA nominee has been taking cover song requests via Twitter. Thankfully, some genius fan (whom we should all send flowers to, by the way) suggested she cover No Doubt. Before she started singing, Kelly confessed that "Don't Speak" is one of her favorite No Doubt songs and that she's known this song "since she was a little girl." Kelly's version of the band's early smash stayed pretty true to form, though she did infuse the punk-pop staple with some of her classic R&B inflections. So it was a little No Doubt meets a little Mariah Carey, and IT WAS PERFECTION.
