Frank Ocean and Rihanna will perform live at the 2012 MTV VMAs.
So, there are almost NO WORDS for how massive and how real today's VMA performer news is. Wait, what? We have to use our words? Photos of surprised cats won't suffice? Okay. Here goes: "Best New Artist" nominee Frank Ocean and five-time 2012 VMA nominee (and self-professed sex kitten) Rihanna will both perform live at the 2012 MTV VMAs! ::Bursts blood vessel... Also, BRB, attempting to find love in my personally hopeless place:: That's in addition to the 2012 VMA performers you already know: Taylor "Never Ever Ever" Swift, Green Day, Pink, Alicia Keys and One Direction.
Also, act like you know that rap mogul 2 Chainz will present a Moonman, and Ke$ha will be at the VMAs to present an award and to make the night a legitimate party. Our other favorite boy band, The Wanted, will present a VMA, and so will Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg. (See their movie "Celeste And Jesse Forever" if you want to bawl for like two nights straight.) But did you think we're just gonna call up these bros and call it a night? Please. Direct your short attention span to the star-studded list of VMA presenters they'll join that night, including Miley Cyrus (cannot WAIT to see the pixie cut in action, you guys), Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and the “Fierce Five,” AND the U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team (because we totally need another reason to lose our minds over the London Olympics. Can the Spice Girls come too?!). Maybe Gaby Douglas will do a triple backflip over One Direction. You never know. It could happen. So don't miss the show.
Don't miss the 2012 MTV VMAs live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
