Sometimes you’ve just gotta branch out. One planet isn’t enough for this greedy guy… he wants a much bigger piece of the cosmic pie. Representing his healed techno virus body, this figure comes with a removable helmet, cosmic Havoc Staff, and an all-new “battle damage” head for Faker®.
Skeletor, the Intergalactic Overlord of Evil™ is the Club Eternia® Masters of the Universe® Classics figure for August 2014. He is currently still available on MattyCollector.com.
The Package - Same as it ever was. Cardboard outer mailer box, standard MOTUC card with bio. “Space Mutants” faction sticker on the front of the bubble.
The Figure - New Adventures of He-Man or Intergalactic Skeletor finally joins his arch-nemesis (New Adventures) He-Man on collector shelves. Figure has the standard articulation, he comes with his cosmic Havok staff, a removable helmet and an alternate battle-damaged head for Faker (who I didn’t have on hand for this shoot so I had to put the head on Skeletor.) He has quite a bit of new sculpting and is loaded with detail. It’s tough to see in the pictures, but close up you can see a lot of subtle paint details in the circuitry and cyber parts. The head/face is fantastic. The Horsemen really knocked it out of the park with this figure. There is some collector concern over the torso overlay being to thick as a result of some design decisions from the previous design regime at Mattel, but the rest of the figure is so great I’m not that bothered by the size of the torso.
The Showdown -
