An official Vine app is now available to download on Xbox One for free. Its arrival for Microsoft's new console marks the first time a Vine app has ever been made specifically for TV, the company said in a post today on the Xbox Wire.

As you might expect, the Vine app for Xbox One uses Kinect for voice and gesture control. You can use your hands and voice to play, pause, and search for new six-second videos to watch. The Vine app even has dedicated channels such as Art, Music & Dance, and Comedy, among others.

In addition, the Vine app for Xbox One can be "snapped," meaning you watch watch Vines while playing Destiny or watching a snow on Netflix.

Vine was one of the many new media apps that Microsoft announced in June was coming to Xbox One by the end of the year. Others include HBO Go and Twitter, both of which have not launched yet.
