Heather Brave tackles Britney Spears' iconic "Oops I Did It Again."
We LOVE a good throwback here at Buzzworthy, so when we heard about Heather Brave's acoustic take on Britney Spears' classic 2000 jam "Oops I Did It Again," we fell every bit as in love as the first time we saw Britney rocking a skintight red bodysuit.
Watch Heather Brave cover Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again" after the jump!
In case you're not familiar with Heather's name and are all like, "Who is this and why is she covering my Britney," we'll go ahead and bring you up to speed. Aside from her perfectly sculpted Carly Rae Jepsen bangs, Heather is what you'd call a "quadrupedal threat," meaning she's a singer, songwriter, musician, and actress (she could also be an amazing dancer, for all we know -- we're guessing so with a résumé like that). Heather's also one of the latest additions to SRP Music Group, as in that record label run by Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken, as in the guys who discovered RIHANNA. (That reminds us, after you watch "Oops I Did It Again," stay in your seat and watch Heather's acoustic "Diamonds" cover.)
Moving on to Heather's "Oops" cover, the 16-year-old singer has filmed a simple, minimalist video to showcase her unique take on the 2000 pop single. Standing in a room filled with cotton candy-colored balloons, Heather picks out the tune on an electric guitar while her rich vocals channel Jessie Ware's neo-soul sensuality, but are spunky enough to match "Oops I Did It Again"'s vaguely naughty lyrics.
At the moment Heather only has a few covers out (listen to them all on her Soundcloud page), but we're convinced it won't be long before up-and-coming singers start covering her.
