Virtual reality was the surprise hit for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with some excellent deals on several different headsets, including the Oculus Quest, HTC Vive Pro, and Oculus Rift S, in addition to the HTC Cosmos and PlayStation VR. Yes, the Cyber Monday weekend was in a great position after the announcement of Half-Life: Alyx. Unfortunately, most of those discounts have expired, but if you know where to look, you can still take advantage of some late Cyber Monday deals--or Cyber Week as some call it. Thankfully, you don't have to worry about scouring the internet for Cyber Week deals as we've already done that for you and collected what we found below.
Now, unfortunately, there are no Cyber Week deals on the Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive Pro, or HTC Cosmos. The prices of these headsets have gone back to normal, so if you want to pick one of them up, you'll need to pay full price. Thankfully, there are still a couple of nice deals out there, especially if you want to grab a headset to be ready for Half-Life: Alyx. Both the Oculus Quest and Samsung HMD Odyssey+ will be able to play Half-Life: Alyx when it releases in March 2020--though if you own a Quest, you'll need to connect it to your PC with a high-quality USB 3.0 cable.
The Oculus Quest will continue to have all three episodes of the Star Wars series, Vader Immortal, bundled until January 31--just make sure to activate your Quest within 30 days after purchase. The Microsoft Store is also still discounting the Samsung HMD Odyssey+, the same price it saw during Black Friday and Cyber Monday--though I wouldn't expect that price to stick around for long. The PlayStation VR package with two Move controllers, Blood & Truth, and Everybody's Golf VR is still discounted, but its price has gone up slightly. And the same goes for the media-focused Oculus Go headsets.
You can see the last VR deals for Cyber Week below.
Oculus Quest 64 GB or 128 GB + Vader Immortal bundle | $400 or $500
Available now
Truly wireless VR is quite the experience, and for Cyber Week, Oculus is giving away all three episodes of Vader Immortal, an interactive Star Wars experience, with all Quest purchases. You'll need to activate your Oculus Quest within 30 days of purchase to claim the entire Star Wars series for yourself. The promotion lasts until January 31, though you have until March 2 to activate your Quest and redeem the offer. The Quest comes in 64 GB and 128 GB storage options.
One of the best features of the Quest is being able to plug it into your PC with a USB 3.0 cable and use it as a PC-powered headset via Oculus Link. This means you'll be ready for Half-Life: Alyx once it releases in March 2020.
If you're looking for more affordable VR, then Windows Mixed Reality headsets are worth taking a look at. The Samsung HMD Odyssey+ supports both Windows MR and Steam VR, so you'll be able to play Half-Life: Alyx once it releases. The Microsoft Store has it discounted to $230 for Cyber Week.
PlayStation VR with Blood & Truth, Everybody's Golf VR | $278.40
Available now
This PlayStation VR bundle includes the PlayStation Move motion controllers, which will give you that extra level of immersion in compatible games. It also comes with crime-shooter Blood & Truth and Everybody's Golf VR for $250 this Cyber Week.
Oculus Go 32 GB or 64 GB | $189 ($200) or $244 ($250)
Available November 28 to December 2
The Oculus Go is a completely portable headset that excels in viewing media--watching movies and shows with Netflix VR, YouTube VR, and more. It's a great gift for VR newcomers uninterested in hardcore gaming. This Cyber Week, it's going for $150 for the 32 GB version or $200 for the 64 GB version.
