Baldur's Gate 3 is set to show its first gameplay on-stage at PAX East. The much-anticipated sequel to two Infinity Engine classics of the late '90s is under production by Larian Studios, a developer best-known for its critically-acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin II. Originally announced back at a pre-E3 event for Google Stadia in mid-2019, Baldur's Gate 3 is part of an initiative by Dungeons & Dragons owners Wizards of the Coast to create a new slate of D&D video games. That effort includes a follow-up to the ARPG spin-off Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, along with several unannounced games.
