Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, most conventions this year have been canceled, including San Diego Comic-Con. However, many are shifting to a virtual event, letting fans have that same con-experience from the comfort of their own homes. On June 8, Funimation announced its anime-centric event FunimationCon 2020. The two-day convention will happen entirely over the internet on July 3-4. Funimation announced some of the planned events for the July show, which virtual con-goers can register to attend for free. While there is still more to be announced, Funimation revealed three panels centered around Fruits Basket, One Piece, and Fire Force.
