Oculus Quest 2 Leaks Show Off Facebook’s VR Successor

The Oculus Quest 2 VR headset has been leaked thanks to promotional videos that were uploaded to the Facebook Blueprint website. This isn't the first time that the existence of a new Oculus headset has been rumored to be in development, as leaks for a Quest successor began circulating in July.

While the videos have been taken down since then, they were quickly downloaded and then uploaded to YouTube. According to these videos, the follow-up to 2019's Oculus Quest will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor that has been specifically designed for VR hardware, 6GB RAM, 3D positional audio, and optional built-in storage capacity of 256GB.

The videos also claim that the Quest 2 has an "almost 4K display," which is achieved by creating a "nearly 2K per eye" image with 50 percent more pixels than the original Quest. As for the refresh rate, it's currently unknown if there has been an increase from the 72Hz range that the original Quest is capable of.
