Uplay+ Becomes Ubisoft+, Offers Google Stadia And Amazon Luna Options

Ubisoft is making some big changes to its Uplay subscription service, starting with the name. Uplay+ will now be called Ubisoft+, and the company is also partnering with the Google Stadia and Amazon Luna streaming services to expand the ways you can access Ubisoft+.

Like Uplay+, the newly dubbed Ubisoft+ will cost $15 per month. And like its predecessor, it will still include premium editions (when applicable) of new releases--including this year's Ubisoft lineup of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Immortals: Fenyx Rising.

Aside from the name-change, the major new feature is making it available on streaming services. It will be available in beta on Amazon Luna starting on November 10. It will also be coming to Stadia by the end of the year, without a Stadia Pro subscription requirement. Ubisoft says its streaming options will allow you to access your saves cross-platform, so you'll be able to access your games in a standard downloadable form or through the streaming services.
