Due to COVID-19, the NFL canceled the upcoming Pro Bowl scheduled for January 2021. The event will go forward in a new fashion, however, as EA and the NFL have announced that the 2021 Pro Bowl will take place virtually through Madden NFL 21. The event will consist of a week's worth of matchups with celebrities, former and current NFL players, and streamers who will play Madden NFL 21 with the Pro Bowl rosters. People can watch these matchups "across a variety of platforms," EA said. Madden NFL 21 players are getting bonuses, too, as EA will release Pro Bowl-themed content in the game during the event.
