2 Chainz remixed his collabo with Fall Out Boy on "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) (2 Chainz Remix)."
Now that we've had some time to settle in with Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)," it's time to ask some important questions. First of all, how do songs know what we did in the dark again? Are these sentient songs? We don't even remember what we did in the dark last night... it could have been anything! Were they watching? Just saying, having songs out there lurking around in the shadows and watching what we do seems a little scary. Someone write to your local congressman or whoever about that. One person whose nighttime activities we do have a pretty firm grasp on, however, is 2 Chainz, who breaks it down in great detail for us in a verse on his remix of the track.

In the video for "My Songs Know..." (the first off the band's upcoming Save Rock and Roll), Mr. Chainz appeared as one of the nefarious villains on their trail, with a penchant for, well, lighting fires. Here, he burns through the track in a different sense, beefing it up with a trap hand-clap beat and jittery, minor key synths that add to its already paranoid energy. As for his nocturnal activities, he's -- surprise! -- very popular with the ladies. "No strings attached she want to tie her up/ She asked how much money I got I told her not enough/ Do not disturb sign on my hotel/ So many girls on my coattail," he rhymes. That sounds a lot like what we were doing in the dark last night actually. Except replace "hotel" with "couch," and "girls" with "a tub of ice cream." Practically the same.
