NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Fall Out BoySave Rock And Roll: By now you've heard FOB's new album (if not, get on it, and check out our track-by-track review!), the first since their hiatus some four years ago. While FOB's album title may imply some bombast, the band's earnest mission to make a record for themselves pays off in ambition. Fall Out Boy are back with a vengeance in the back-to-back fiery anthems "The Phoenix" and "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)" with 2 Chainz. Soulful singer Patrick Stump exudes confidence with his vocal acrobatics on "Where Did The Party Go,"  the falsettos of "Death Valley," and with the rich inflections on "Just One Yesterday" featuring Foxes. Courtney Love ("Rat A Tat"), Big Sean ("The Mighty Fall"), and Elton John ("Save Rock And Roll") also make appearances.

+ Yeah Yeah YeahsMosquito: On their fourth album, Yeah Yeah Yeahs blend disparate music styles. "It's kind of like a Yeah Yeah Yeahs soul record -- our version of one -- but it's also really playful and tongue-in-cheek sometimes. I think it's got something for everyone," Karen O explained in their video premiering Mosquito. Penned in New Orleans, "Sacrilege" features a gospel choir and "Subway" is an ode to New York with looping rhythms courtesy of a rumbling train. They explore roots reggae in "Under The Earth," and the churning, James Murphy-produced "Buried Alive" features Dr. Octagon. They lean romantic as the album closes with "Always" and the atmospheric "Wedding Song."

+ Olly MursRight Place, Right Time: U.K. sensation Olly Murs already has three albums under his belt and he's toured with One Direction, but he hadn't yet released an album Stateside... until now. For the 2009 "X Factor" runner-up's U.S. debut, songs from his No. 1 U.K. album of the same name are packaged with tunes from his sophomore album, In Case You Didn't Know ("Heart Skips A Beat," "Dance With Me Tonight," and "Oh My Goodness"). Watch Olly perform his smash hit "Heart Skips A Beat" (the recorded U.S. version features Chiddy Bang), and watch his video for "Troublemaker" featuring Flo Rida.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

+ Jessie Ware, Devotion: The British chanteuse's debut full-length album is finally available in the U.S. after sample issues held up its release. The Artist To Watch soulfully shines in downtempo songs like the sultry "Sweet Talk" as well as more dance-inspired jams like the busy, 808-backed "If You're Never Gonna Move." Watch Jessie perform several tracks from Devotion in her recent "MTV Artist To Watch" performance from New York City's Webster Hall.

Kid CudiIndicud: On the heels of departing Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, Kid Cudi releases his third album. Bumping up its release date due to an untimely leak, the 18-song set includes collaborations with Kendrick Lamar ("Solo Dolo Part II"), Too Short ("Girls"), King Chip and A$AP Rocky ("Brothers") alongside non hip-hop collabs with Father John Misty, Haim, and Michael Bolton (!!). Listen to the laid-back track "King Wizard," and watch his trippy video for "Just What I Am."

Major LazerFree The Universe: Sometimes it's just fun to get silly, which is exactly what Major Lazer and producer Diplo do on Major's sophomore album. For example, take Major's ode to derrieres, "Bubble Butt," which features Bruno Mars, Tyga, and Mystic. Opener "You're No Good," with guests Santigold, Haim, and Vybz Kartel, swerves at a scream before switching to a dancehall-tipped, druggy groove, and "Sweat" with Laidback Luke and Ms. Dynamite will make you do just that. Also check out "Jessica" featuring Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, and the slow percolating "Get Free," featuring Dirty Projectors' Amber Coffman.

The Flaming LipsThe Terror: The Lips are no strangers to heady experimentation (from setting world records to their Boombox Experiment and beyond), and on their 13th album, they've eschewed the more melodic settings of their Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots and The Soft Bulletin opuses for darker, dire, and more amorphous experimental pastures. There's an overall claustrophobic, nightmarish feeling befitting the album title throughout, though "Try To Explain" and "Butterfly, How Long It Takes To Die" add a touch of catharsis, offering small bursts of elegiac light into the darkness. Also check out the haunting "Turning Violent." It's not an easy listen, but it's a rewarding one for those into the artsier side of The Lips.

Charli XCXTrue Romance: The writer of Icona Pop's breakout dancefloor anthem "I Love It," Charli XCX has a knack for creating earworm tunes and her debut studio album is no exception. Watch the video for "You (Ha Ha Ha)," where Charlie marries her musical pop sensibility with her neon Girl Power-meets-goth personal style. Also check her stripped-down live performances of "Stay Away" and "You're The One."

The ThermalsDesperate Ground: The Thermals' sixth album "tells the (murky) tale of a lone rogue in the night. One man, one path, one sword. An unceasing urge to destroy," as described by Saddle Creek Records, and indeed Desperate Ground gets bloody from the get-go with the driving "Born To Kill." Singer/guitarist Hutch Harris' trademark howling intonation makes each war-torn song a rallying cry, from the conviction of "You Will Be Free" to "The Howl Of The Winds." And while battle concepts pervade, love injects hope on "Faces Stay With Me," "You Will Find Me," and culminates with "Our Love Survives."

Ghostface KillahTwelve Reasons To Die: For the iconic Wu-Tang Clan member's 10th studio album, Ghostface crafts a 12-song concept album based on a comic book he and collaborator Adrian Younge conceived of the same name. Set in Italy, the story follows a superhero in the 1960s. Composed by Younge and written by Ghostface, Twelve Reasons comes packaged with a second disc comprising the instrumentals.
