Battlefield 4 retailer image shows October 31 release

Latest retailer leak also states Commander Mode is returning.

A promotional poster spotted on Australian retailer EB Games has marked October 31, 2013 as the release date for upcoming shooter Battlefield 4.

Thursday is traditionally the day games are released in Australia, which could suggest a Tuesday October 29 release date for North America and the UK.

The EB Games poster was snapped by BF4Central, and is the latest retailer leak that states the series' Commander Mode will be returning in Battlefield 4. "Rank up into the seat of the brand new Commander Mode and lead your team to victory," says the poster.

Battlelog 2.0, the next version of Battlefield's social tracking tool, is also mentioned. "Track every shot, every opponent, every detail of your online Battlefield career," it says.

Customers are also told to "Go Premium", with another mention of the previously rumoured Drone Strike DLC.

Earlier promotional material suggested the game will feature three playable factions: the US, China, and Russia.

Battlefield 4 was officially unveiled by EA during GDC 2013. So far EA has only confirmed the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
