All The Wanted guys need is a girl who "Walks Like Rihanna." Is that too much to ask?
Writing songs about famous pop stars is, like, totally a "thing" now. Seriously, who knew? First, Drake comes out with "Girls Love Beyonce," and now The Wanted have unveiled the title and a 30-second preview of their Dr. Luke-produced single "She Walks Like Rihanna," slated to appear on their forthcoming third studio album. That said, we really should give props to O-Town's groundbreaking "Liquid Dreams," which probably started this whole "name-dropping pop stars in a song" trend. Remember how those boys wanted "a girl who's a mix of Destiny's Child/ Just a little touch Madonna's wild style/ With Janet Jackson's smile"? Also, is it OK that I still love that song?
Listen to a preview of The Wanted's "She Walks Like Rihanna" after the jump.
In the 30-second preview, the Wanted sing about a girl who can't sing, can't dance, and can't really do anything other than walk like, you guessed it, Rihanna: "She can't sing/ She can't dance/ But who cares?/ She walks like Rihanna." Hmmm, that's an interesting request from bros who can probably bag any chick they want (including the IRL Rihanna). Whatever floats your boat, bbs! Also, do we think the song's video, which drops May 7, will be full of Ri look-alikes stomping all over town? Or perhaps an "America's Next Top Model"-style walk-off? When you throw "Rihanna" in your song title, the possibilities are ENDLESS.
