Mika and Ariana Grande prank their high school bullies in their "Popular Song" video.
OK, we get it -- high school sucks. (That's why we have things like the Mean Stinks campaign and Demi Lovato.) And as anyone who went to high school knows, the popular kids REALLY suck. Wouldn't it be nice to invite them over for dinner, then magically turn them into stone like the witches in "Hocus Pocus"? Well, while we don't condone practicing sorcery on ANYONE, no matter how much they suck, Mika and Ariana Grande do a nice job of acting out our ultimate high school fantasy in their Tim Burton/"Heathers"-y video for "Popular Song," from Mika's latest album, The Origin Of Love.

Directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, "Popular Song" features Ariana and Mika as students in a spooky, #dark, "Addams Family"-esque high school. As he lolls around in class, the "Celebrate" singer hits up some popular classmates on text about hanging out at his place later, while we cut to Mika and Ariana brewing something mysterious in a cauldron. We thought we knew where this video was heading -- we've seen the "The Craft," okay? -- but things takes a turn: a "'Beetlejuice' 'DAY-o" turn. (Have we name-dropped enough movies for you yet?) Without giving too much away, let's just say that it's probably in everyone's best interest to leave witchcraft out of high school revenge in favor of a more peaceful approach. Getting revenge à la Christian Slater and Winona Ryder = bad. Guidance counselors = good.
