Ubisoft's film division lines up feature films based on three more of its major franchises; company now producing six total films.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures is currently working on movies based on the Watch Dogs, Far Cry, and Rabbids franchises, according to a new report from Hollywood news site Variety.

The company now has six movies in the pipeline, and these new projects join the previously announced Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon movies.

Similar to its other upcoming films, for Watch Dogs, Far Cry, and Rabbids, Ubisoft will retain creative control of the projects as they become full-length feature films.

With such a structure in place, "no one can tell us you have to do the movie a certain way," Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet told the site.

The Rabbids movie will be a live-action project featuring the bunnies as computer-generated characters similar to how The Smurfs is presented. No further information about the Watch Dogs or Far Cry films was made available.

Baronnet made clear that the upcoming films will stand on their own, not borrowing any plot from past games beyond general universe and character details.

"These are not adaptations," Baronnet said. "We will create a brand new story. Always."

Variety also reports that Ubisoft is in talks with Raiders of the Lost Ark and Back to the Future veteran Frank Marshall and The Town producer Basil Iwanyk to produce the Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell films, respectively.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced that Transformers and The Island director Michael Bay will collaborate on the Ghost Recon movie.
