We'll be straight up with you for a second: We might be a democracy, but Beyoncé is the closest thing this country has to a #QUEEN (so bow the eff down). How do we know this? Aside from the fact that the "Grown Woman" singer is single-handedly making balloon selfies a "thing" while simultaneously warming our hearts with perfectly curated photo flashbacks? Well, you clearly have to come from a royal bloodline to straight CRUSH the national anthem not once, but TWICE! (Once was at the 2013 Inaugural Ceremony, and the second time was at her Super Bowl halftime press conference.) Well, that, AND Beyoncé's epic nipple bodysuit. #NeverForget.

If you'll recall, Bey caught a smidge of backlash after singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 2013 Inaugural Ceremony (something about lip-synching -- whatever). Eventually, Beyoncé admitted that she sang to a pre-recorded track at the Inauguration (bb didn't have time to practice! Not her fault), but what did she do to remedy the sitch? She fully belted out the national anthem at her Superbowl Halftime press conference -- A CAPPELLA. No music, no reverb, just the Queen and her pipes. Why? Because she's damn royalty, and she's GOT THE CHOPS! #BAIHATERS. Literally, peace forever -- you are silenced! (Catch us tryna sound like a queen right there?? Didn't really work, unfortunately.)
