Studio’s First Collectible Features the Iconic Fighting Machine John Rambo
March 8, 2023 – VeVe, the largest digital collectibles platform, has announced a new collaboration with Europe’s leader in production, distribution and international sales of feature films and TV series STUDIOCANAL to launch a series of NFTs based on its hit film franchises. The first release comes from the legendary action franchise “Rambo” inspired by the film “Rambo: First Blood Part II” (1985).
Featuring the likeness of actor Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo, this ultra rare, animated collectible showcases Rambo striking an iconic pose while reloading and firing his bow and arrow. In the film, John Rambo is offered the chance to cut short his prison tenure by going on a secret mission for the US government deep into the jungles of Vietnam and locating American prisoners of war.
Fans can purchase the first-ever officially licensed Rambo digital collectible on Saturday, March 11 at 8 AM PT for $60 (60 In-App Gems) exclusively through VeVe, available to download on the App Store and Google Play, or through the VeVe Web App.
The Rambo digital collectible on VeVe comes a year after STUDIOCANAL celebrated the 40th Anniversary of “Rambo: First Blood” (1982) that kicked off one of the most iconic action-movies franchises of all time.
“We cannot wait to bring Rambo and more of our iconic characters to VeVe’s passionate collector community. It has been a pleasure collaborating with the talented VeVe team, and we look forward to continuing our work with them as part of STUDIOCANAL’s foray into the digital collectible world”, adds Hugh Spearing, STUDIOCANAL’s EVP Global Marketing & Distribution.
“Rambo is one of the most beloved action film franchises ever so we are thrilled that our dedicated VeVe community has the opportunity to add John Rambo in all his glory to their virtual showrooms,” said Dan Crothers, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of VeVe.
Through the VeVe platform, fans can showcase their digital collections in the app’s virtual showrooms as epic 3D dioramas, as well as virtually visit, comment on and like showrooms from other collectors. VeVe also offers an augmented reality (AR) photo mode that allows collectors to interact with every digital collectible in 3D, as well as share their collectibles through VeVe’s in-app social feed or on external social platforms. In addition, VeVe uses gasless transactions providing a 99.9% reduction in environmental footprint.
