Netflix has made further changes to its subscription offerings, this time cutting the cheapest option in the US and UK. The $10/month (£7) Basic plan is no longer an option for new or returning members. Anyone currently on the Basic plan can keep it so long as they don't cancel or modify their subscription. Netflix now has three subscription plans, including Standard with ads ($7/month), Standard ($15.50/month), and Premium ($20/month). Netflix's Basic plan was removed in Canada in June, at which time many wondered if it might also get cut in other parts of the world.
