Actress Margot Robbie has commented on the possibility of coming back to play Harley Quinn in another DC project, and it doesn't sound likely. Lady Gaga plays the character in this year's Joker: Folie à Deux, and it was always Robbie's dream to be able to hand off the character to another actress. "I always wanted Harley to be a character that would get passed on to other actresses to play, the way there are so many iconic male characters. That was always the dream for her," Robbie told Variety. "Harley's so fun and can go in so many different directions. You put her in someone else's hands, and it's like, 'What are they going to do with her?' The options are endless." Robbie played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and The Suicide Squad. As mentioned, Lady Gaga is taking over the role for this year's Joker sequel, which releases in October.
