In Unicorn Overlord your Liberation Army has a renown rank, which increases as you win battles and finish quests. Increasing your renown rank is important, especially early on, as it allows you to increase the number of characters in each unit and later on even upgrade them to a more advanced class. There are a few different ways to increase your renown, which fills a meter moving you up letter ranks.
How to increase renown
You can gain renown by completing battles and quests.
There are a couple of ways to earn more renown. The main way to earn more is by completing missions and quests. At the end of each mission in Unicorn Overlord, you are given a score based on completion time, units defeated, and objectives completed, with a multiplier added based on your current renown rank. That score is used to award gold, renown, and honors, with a high score awarding more. If you are looking to increase the amount you earn in each mission, you can go out of your way to fight more enemies or complete more objectives. You can also try and finish the mission as quickly as possible. Completing a quest, which is usually associated with a battle but not always, also awards some renown.
The other way to earn renown is by rebuilding the various towns found throughout Unicorn Overlord. Most towns will need to first be liberated by completing a nearby mission, after which you unlock the ability to complete deliveries. Towns will have one to three deliveries available, and completing the whole set earns a star, marking a rebuild and rewarding renown. Town's have between one to three stars. You can continue completing deliveries once you max out the stars and earn some rewards, but you won't earn more renown after doing this.
