Shrek 2 is returning to theaters to celebrate the animated movie's 20th anniversary. The multi-Oscar-nominated film is come back to cinemas in the US for one week, starting April 12. Cinemark and AMC locations across the US are screening the movie for the 20th anniversary. Cinemark is charging $10 and AMC has the movie listed for $5 per ticket. Other cinema chains may offer the re-release as well. As usual, check with your local theater before heading out. Shrek 2 was originally released in May 2004. It earned two Academy Award nominations, including Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song for Counting Crows' "Accidentally in Love." The movie didn't win either award, however.
