Overwatch Season 11 Brings Japanese Superhero-Inspired Skins, Teases Transformers Crossover

Overwatch 2 Season 11 will begin on June 20, and it's bringing with it a Japanese superhero-inspired battle pass, the return of one of the game's most popular skins, and a community-crafted game mode to celebrate the game having recently reached 100 million players worldwide. While it won't be there at launch, Blizzard is teasing a Transformers crossover for later in the season.

The new season, dubbed Super Mega Ultrawatch, will introduce a slew of new skins inspired by the likes of Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Japanese kaiju. Ashe will receive a Mythic skin, Calamity Empress Ashe (clearly inspired by Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers), which can be customized in multiple different ways. A mid-season update will additionally introduce Mythic weapon skins, the first of which will be the Bound Demon weapon skin for Reinhardt that turns the hero's hammer into a fiery demonic axe.

Season 11 will also include a new Push map set in the Peruvian Andes, Runasapi, as well as new Hero Mastery courses for Kiriko and Soldier: 76. Buffs are coming to each of the game's three roles, Blizzard says, as well as improvements to weekly challenges that will give players who missed out on a previous week the ability to catch up before moving on to the current week's challenges.
