Though Amazon Prime Day doesn't officially begin until July 16, it has effectively started thanks to competitor sales at Walmart and Target. Both retailers are running massive sales this week, with Walmart Deals and Target Circle Week bringing notable discounts on all types of gaming and tech products, including Nintendo Switch hardware, accessories, and games. Amazon is even price-matching some of the offers, so we've rounded up all of the best Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals available now. We'll continue to update this roundup as more deals go live. Quick look: Best Prime Day Nintendo Switch early deals Walmart has several of the best Nintendo Switch hardware and accessory deals we've seen, not just this year, but ever. Most notably, the Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch Lite console, which comes bundled with a digital copy of New Horizons, is on sale for only $159. Switch owners can also pick up a pair of red and blue Joy-Con controllers with Super Mario Party for only $69. On the games side of things, Nintendo Switch exclusives are the highlight (as expected). Target has a bunch of Switch games for $35, while Walmart has a trio of heavy hitters for $30: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can also snag Super Mario Bros. Wonder for its best price yet. In addition to Switch products, Nintendo toys and collectibles are on sale for low prices, including a handful of Super Mario Lego sets that rarely receive discounts. Walmart's and Target's sales are only running this week, but next week even more Switch deals will go live for Prime Day on July 16-17. Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing Edition
$159 ($200) Walmart has a terrific Nintendo Switch Lite deal as part of its sale rivaling Prime Day. In fact, it's the best Switch Lite deal we've seen at a major retailer. You can get the Walmart-exclusive Animal Crossing-themed handheld for only $159. Retail price is $200, but even that was a bargain when initially offered during Black Friday 2023, because this special-edition Switch Lite also comes bundled with a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This deal is available through July 11, or until it sells out.
Super Mario Party Joy-Con Bundle
$69 ($100) If you need a new pair of Joy-Con controllers, this is arguably the best Joy-Con deal in years. Originally released for Black Friday last year at a value price of $100, these exclusive red and blue Joy-Con controllers come bundled with a digital copy of Super Mario Party. You can snag the bundle at Walmart for only $69, which is $11 less than the normal selling price of Joy-Con controllers on their own.

Lego Super Mario Sets
Though these aren't technically Nintendo Switch products, surely all Nintendo Switch fans like Mario and Lego sets. There are some stellar and rarely offered discounts on Lego Super Mario sets at multiple major retailers right now, including deals on the very cute Piranha Plant set, the 1,000-plus piece Bowser's Airship, and more.
Lego Animal Crossing Sets
The Lego Animal Crossing line launched earlier this year, and it hasn't received any notable discounts until now. Walmart has the cute Animal Crossing playsets discounted by 20% during its big sale.
The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Books

$52 ($70) Our favorite third-party Nintendo Switch gamepad, the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller, is on sale right now for $52 (was $70) at Amazon. Unlike most of the deals on this list, you'll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of this offer--and make sure you click to redeem the coupon code to get the full discount. This is an excellent wireless controller that sports anti-drift Hall Effect thumbsticks and pro-level features like programmable back buttons and swappable button layout profiles.
Portable Docking Station
$24.30 ($37) with coupon The Ukor portable docking station is a third-party Nintendo Switch dock that performs all the same functions as the official Switch dock--including USB-C charging and HDMI video output--but offers extra features like the option for 4K or 720p resolution video output (the standard dock only does 1080p video out). You can also use the dock as a display stand so you can play on the Switch's handheld screen while it's charging. It's available for $24.30 (was $37) at Amazon when you check the coupon code box on its store page.
Hori Split Pad Pro
The Split Pad Pro Switch controller is great for anyone who needs a bigger grip when playing in handheld mode. Hori's pads don't have all the same features as standard Joy-Con--notably lacking gyro, rumble, and Amiibo support--but make up for it with extra programmable buttons, turbo mode, and an overall more ergonomic design. Several Hori Split Pad Pro models are on sale at Amazon ahead of Prime Day, including the officially licensed Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom version for $48 (was $60), or the standard black model for $43 (normally $50). You can also save on the smaller Split Pad Compact, which offers the same features and still has better ergonomics than the Joy-Con controllers.

The Nitro Deck handheld grip from CRKD is one of the coolest Switch accessories out there. Not only is it a comfortable and durable controller grip with anti-drift Hall Effect sticks and four remappable buttons, it also doubles as a portable docking station with charging and video output capabilities. Satisfye ZenGrip Pro
The ZenGrip from Satisfye is yet another great accessory for making the Switch more comfortable while playing handheld, but instead of replacing your Joy-Con controllers, it simply slots on the back of your Switch. That way you can still enjoy all the core Joy-Con features like gyro controls, HD rumble, and Amiibo scanning, but with a more ergonomic grip. Amazon has multiple versions available, including the standard ZenGrip Pro, a ZenGrip plus carrying case bundle, and a premium kit that includes the grip, a larger carrying case, and an assortment of accessories.

The Nintendo Switch has amassed a massive library of games since it launched over seven years ago, and if you're struggling to find enough storage space for all your favorite Switch games, you can grab a discounted MicroSD card at Amazon right now. Cards from multiple brands in various storage capacities are available, including SanDisk microSDXC models as small as 256GB for $23 (normally $26) or as big as 1.5TB for $110 (was $150).
