All New DLC Armors In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

You can acquire numerous gear pieces in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Naturally, you might want to boost your character's resistance to physical and elemental damage. Alternatively, you probably just want to slay enemies in style. Here's our guide on how to get all DLC armors in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains spoilers.

All DLC armors in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Our Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree armors guide is divided into multiple categories. This is primarily due to how certain gear pieces are acquired.

We start off by listing armor sets that can only be obtained by completing certain quests or are part of a broader category/arc. We've also included links to related guides. Then, we discuss loot that has a chance of dropping from enemies. You might want to equip the Silver Scarab Talisman to increase the drop rate. Then, we move on to items that come from specific locations on the world map.

Armor sets from Nameless Mausoleums

There are four Nameless Mausoleums in the Realm of Shadow. Each one has an opponent that you need to beat, and doing so rewards you with unique loot. Head over to our Nameless Mausoleums guide if you want to obtain a bunch of DLC armors in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

High Priest set

Obtained upon completing the entirety of the Ymir Finger Ruins quest chain.

Dryleaf set

You'll get your first armor piece upon defeating Dryleaf Dane in a duel, which also nets you the unarmed combat style. Later, you can search for the remaining items. We've got you covered in our Dryleaf Dane set guide.

Miquella followers and NPC rewards

You're going to receive several weapons and armors by completing NPC quests. These include the Thiollier quest and Ansbach/Freyja quest. To learn about all the rewards, you can check our Miquella followers/NPCs guide.

St. Trina's Blossom

Received by talking to St. Trina in her cave after (a) completing Thiollier's quest chain, and (b) defeating the final boss.

Gravebird set

There are five armor pieces that comprise the full set, which will remind you of the annoying stone statue fowls that you keep encountering in the Realm of Shadow. We discuss these locations in detail in our Gravebird set guide.

Major boss champion armor sets

These Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree armors can be yours after defeating certain bosses. You can then purchase items from Enia at Roundtable Hold in exchange for runes. The bosses you need to beat are:

  • Rellana set - Rellana Twin Moon Night in Castle Ensis.
  • Gaius set - Commander Gaius in Shadow Keep/Scaduview.
  • Messmer set - Messmer the Impaler in Shadow Keep.
  • Young Lion set - The final boss in Enir-Ilim.

Farmable: Messmer Soldier set

There are numerous Messmer Soldiers found all over the Realm of Shadow. These include the camps in front of Castle Ensis and Shadow Keep, as well as the camp at Rauh Base.

Farmable: Messmer Knight set

Compared to lowly fodder, these knights clad in black armor are tougher and more aggressive. Some are found in overworld areas, such as camps, and there are others inside Shadow Keep, too.

Fire Knight set

These pyromancers are skilled in both fire magic and swordplay, making them very dangerous. Several of these enemies are found in Shadow Keep.

Ascetic set

The Ascetic enemy type is akin to a Demihuman Harlequin. These creatures wield twin chakrams, and they spin and dash around to annoy you to no end.

Map: Armor pieces in the southern regions

The map above shows the location of armors in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. This section primarily focuses on those found in Gravesite Plain and Belurat Tower Settlement. We've also included a couple just south of Bonny Village and Recluses River.

Greatjar

Found in Belurat Gaol. Fancy being another Let Me Solo Her, except with a bigger ceramic container on your head? Well, you can learn more in our Greatjar helm guide.

Horned Knight's Helm

Dropped by the Horned Knight that you encounter after tagging the Small Private Altar Site of Grace.

Divine Beast Head

This comically large lion head is dropped by the Divine Beast Dancing Lion boss in Belurat Tower Settlement.

Divine Beast Helm

This lion helmet is smaller and not really as cool as the aforementioned Divine Beast Head. You'll find it in Enir-Ilim just before you reach the lift that leads back to Belurat. We've got all the details in our Euporia guide.

Circlet of Light

Obtained after defeating the final boss.

Oathseeker Knight set

Found in the Church of Benediction, which is on a plateau reachable via the Cliffroad Terminus. You can learn more in our Oathseeker Knight set guide.

Igon's set

Just south of the Pillar Path Waypoint, you'll hear a man named Igon crying out in pain. In our playthrough, we were making our way to Jagged Peak and we decided to keep attacking him. When he died, he dropped his greatbow and armor set.

We then reloaded a backup save, and we just ignored him until we reached the major boss in Jagged Peak. Unfortunately, when we returned to his location, he had already disappeared. As such, we're unable to confirm if there are other related quest steps.

Night Armor set

Found in a well-hidden area deep within Bonny Gaol. You can head over to our Night Armor set guide for more info.

Death Knight set

This Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree armor set is somewhat akin to the Royal Remains armor set, except you look like a fancy undead officer. It's found in Darklight Catacombs, which can be accessed as you're looking for the hidden path to Recluses River/Abyssal Woods.

Specifically, there's an area in Darklight Catacombs where you have to pull the second lever. Doing so illuminates the chamber that you're in. As you head down the steps, take a peek at the chasm to see a ledge below you. It leads to a small room with this reward.

Map: Armor pieces in the northern regions

The map above shows the armor pieces we've found in the northern regions of the realm. These locations include Shadow Keep, the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, and Scadu Altus.

Pelt of Ralva

From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the road north and make a right toward the lake. To receive this item, take out Ralva the Great Red Bear.

Salza's Hood

At the Specimen Storehouse - First Floor Site of Grace in Shadow Keep, turn left and ride the lift. Follow the corridors that take you all the way to the western ramparts. Get across and watch out for the Rain of Fire spell being cast by this pyromancer.

Winged Serpent Helm

Continue ascending the Specimen Storehouse in Shadow Keep until you reach the northwest ramparts, which leads to Messmer's chamber. Just before you enter the tower proper, you have to take out this pyromancer.

Death Mask Helm

To obtain this unique helmet, you must drain the flood waters in Shadow Keep's Church District. Then, make your way to the main cathedral filled with Bomber Skeletons. There's a lone Fire Knight here. Kill him to acquire this item.

Divine Bird Helm

While we did mark the location of this item in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, the method to reach it actually begins in Castle Ensis/Scadu Altus. At the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, head west and check the ruins in the middle of the lake (the one guarded by an ogre mage). Use an Imbued Stonesword Key to activate the teleporter, which takes you to a section of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh that's you can't get to normally. Defeat the lone warrior here to obtain this reward.

Crucible Hammer-Helm

Once you've made it to the plateaus of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, head to the next waypoint which has a Miquella Cross. There's a paladin-type enemy there named Devonia. Defeat her to obtain her armor piece and colossal weapon.

That does it for our guide on all DLC armors in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. We'll continue updating this article when we discover other gear pieces. If you're looking for more loot and goodies, we encourage you to check our guides regarding DLC weapons, talismans, spells, ashes of war, and summons.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree takes you to the Realm of Shadow where you have to search for Miquella the Empyrean. If you're looking for more tips and tactics, you can head over to our guides hub.
