First Magic: The Gathering x Marvel Collaboration Is A Secret Lair Superdrop, Spider-Man Set Coming In 2025

After teasing their pending partnership late last year, Wizards Of The Coast and Marvel have finally pulled back the curtain on the first part of Marvel's entry into the Magic: The Gathering. Today, during a panel at New York Comic Con, the two companies revealed five Secret Lair drops--each themed for a different Marvel superhero--which will be available on the Secret Lair website beginning November 4.

Each drop consists of five cards, one mechanically-unique legendary creature card and four reprints from Magic's past. The legendary creature card will depict one of the five featured heroes--Captain America, Black Panther, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Storm--while the four reprints will feature new artwork of the corresponding hero.

Each of the five drops will be available for $40 in non-foil and $50 in rainbow-foil treatments, and all who spend $199 or more will receive a special reprint of Arcane Signet called Earth's Mightiest Emblem, with Avengers Tower featuring in the card's artwork. Wizards Of The Coast has also confirmed that the Marvel superdrop will be a limited-time offering with specific quantities of each drop, not as a print-to-demand drop like the recent Extra Life 2024 edition.
