The Rise Of The Golden Idol – Final Clash Puzzle Solution

There are over a dozen scenarios in The Rise of the Golden Idol. Your journey, however, will come to a rather surprising end, one that has a surprising twist given all the brain teasers that you've completed so far. Here's our guide on how to solve the Final Clash puzzle in The Rise of the Golden Idol.

The Rise of the Golden Idol - Final Clash puzzle guide

The Rise of the Golden Idol Final Clash scenario is quite different from the others that you've tackled previously in the campaign. This is due to the following reasons:

  • You don't need to collect names and terms for the Word Bank.
  • At the top-right section of the screen, you'll see the time denoting events that transpired on the same day, December 16.
  • All puzzles are "fill in the blanks" in style and structure.
  • As you complete each segment/puzzle, new scenes/panels will become available. These include October 3, November 8, December 4, and later in the day on December 16.
  • Each panel still has "spots" that provide clues, though you'll also recount the events that have transpired as part of an over-arcing narrative.

December 16: OPIG puzzle

At the start of The Rise of the Golden Idol Final Clash scenario, you can only check three segments: December 16 at 1:45 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. You won't be able to gather all the "spots" yet, but that's okay since the rest will become available as you progress. Here's the solution for the OPIG puzzle:

  • The goal of the [OPIG] [Corporation]'s Happy Customer project was to [increase] [O-Range] [sales].
  • To achieve this, those behind the project wanted to use [IDOL] to [give] the [memories] of [drinking] [O-Range] with the drug Euphoria to millions of spectators watching the [peil] [finals].
  • The project was invented and led by [Eugene] [Marmot].

October 3: IDOL puzzle

Once you're done with the OPIG segment, an icon for the October 3 scene should appear in the top-left corner. The idea is to match the IDOL contents with the last known user.

Shortly before Eugene and Jack left the laboratory:

  • IDOL contents: [Good] [memories] of the [O-Range]
  • Last user: [Eugene] [Marmot]

When the IDOL was loaded into the security van:

  • IDOL contents: [Bad] [memories] of the [O-Range]
  • Last user: [Tim] [Spender]

When the IDOL arrived at the TV station:

  • IDOL contents: [All] [memories] of the [square disk]
  • Last user: [Security] [Sergeant]

November 8: Curse puzzle

The next part of The Rise of the Golden Idol Final Clash puzzle is a scene from November 8. This is what you need to input for the Curse puzzle:

  • After [Tesa] [Nevari]'s attack, the security protocol was changed. Consequently, [Hunter] [Wolf], assisted by [Luke] [Brown], [ambushed] [Bruce] [Myson] at the OPIG laboratory.
  • Then, [Hunter] [Wolf] used the IDOL to [take] [all] [memories] from [Luke] [Brown], and to [give] [all] [memories] to [Bruce] [Myson].

December 16: Broadcast puzzle

Another clock for December 16, one that shows 5:15 p.m., should appear in the top-right corner of your screen. Gather the spot clues in the TV station and sporting stadium panels, then input the solution below:

  • [Tim] [Spender] [trapped] [Eugene] [Marmot] on the roof.
  • However, though a reckless act, [Eugene] [Marmot] [stopped] the [broadcast], with the aim of preventing the [spectators] from getting [bad] [memories] of the [O-Range]. As a result, only [Jack] [Nowak] received [all] [memories] from the [square] [disk].
  • Shortly afterwards, [Tesa] [Nevari], along with accomplices, [stormed] the [TV] [station] and [threw] the [IDOL] out of the [window].

December 4: Hunter puzzle

Finally, you'll unlock the last scene. This shows the events that transpired on December 4, the case from earlier in the campaign where a man fell from a bridge. Here are the correct options:

  • Posing as [Hunter] [Wolf], [Jack] [Nowak] secretly experimented with the IDOL to find the best way of using it to [educate] [humanity].
  • After [becoming] [disillusioned], [Jack] [Nowak] decided that the only way was to [turn] everyone into a [genius].
  • To fulfill his plan, [Jack] [Nowak] tried to use the [Happy] [Customer] project to [turn] [millions] of [spectators] into [Isaac] [Nowak].
  • However, because of what happened at the TV station, [Jack] [Nowak] was the only person to [turn] into [Isaac] [Nowak].

That's it! You've just solved the Final Clash puzzle in The Rise of the Golden Idol. Congratulations! All that's left to do now is to watch the ending slides and the credits.
