Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to some big new games in the near-future, as Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Ishin will be added to the library of the subscription service alongside several other titles. For Like a Dragon Gaiden, this interquel will be available as a day-one release on Game Pass when it launches on November 9, Xbox announced at Tokyo Game Show. Set after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and during Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Like a Dragon Gaiden focuses on Kazuma Kiryu, the legendary Yakuza who faked his own death so that he could protect his family. Now operating under the codename of Joryu, Kiryu becomes caught up in a new plot that threatens to expose him and put his loved ones in danger. Billed as a shorter adventure in the Like a Dragon franchise, the game also sets the stage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth ahead of its January 2024 release, as completing it will unlock exclusive scenes that won't otherwise be accessible in that game. Like a Dragon: Ishin was released earlier this year, finally bringing what developer Ryu Ga Gotokou deemed to be an impossible port to Western audiences on a variety of platforms. Unlike the Yakuza and Like a Dragon games that are set in the modern era, Ishin is a samurai epic in which you take up the sword of Sakamoto Ryoma, explore feudal Japan, and uncover who really murdered his father. There's no set date for its arrival yet, but Xbox confirmed that it will be available on Game Pass later this year. Continue Reading at GameSpot
