Thank you so much for joining us in celebrating the 25th anniversary of BigBadToyStore! It feels like just yesterday that Dan and I, in our early 20s, were figuring out how to set up our first website, connect with fellow collectors, determine the best way to ship orders, and find a place to store our ever-growing pile of inventory. We’ve spent our entire adult lives pouring everything we have into this company, and we are deeply grateful that so many of you enjoy what we have built!

 

Looking back at the photos we’ve shared with you — from our early days in the garage and barn, to our first warehouse build, and through multiple expansions to our current warehouse — I feel immensely proud of all that we’ve accomplished. Most importantly, I’m honored that so many of you have entrusted us to help build your collections. This hasn’t just been a job; it’s been an all-consuming passion. It’s been the hardest thing we’ve ever done, and as we enter our 25th year, that passion is still there—to improve, expand, and create. We have decades of ideas on tap, and we can’t wait to share them with you as the future unfolds.

 

Our parents were instrumental in making BBTS a reality. They left their jobs early on to become our first employees and worked tirelessly alongside us to bring this dream to life. They are now enjoying their well-deserved retirement, and we cannot thank them enough for their support, sacrifices, love, and dedication. Transitioning from a four-person family business to a much larger organization has been both exciting and challenging. We are fortunate to have an amazing core group of long-time employees, many of whom have been with us for 15 years or more. Recently, we’ve also been lucky to find more fantastic people as we continue to build the teams needed to serve our customers and drive new innovations in the years to come.

 

Everything we’ve done—and will continue to do—is built with you, the collector, in mind. Our warehouse handles products in ways no one else would because we designed it that way, and you deserve it. Dan has dedicated many years of his life writing the code for our website, as well as developing the warehouse and operational systems that keep everything running smoothly. We would never be where we are without him!

 

We’d like to personally thank each and every one of you for being our customer — whether you just placed your first order, or you’ve placed a thousand over the years (a special thanks to all you long-timers!). This 25th anniversary has been a special time for us to reflect on everything that has happened between 1999 and 2024. Many things have changed, but our respect for you and commitment to you has only grown stronger.
