Activision has abandoned its trademark for Call of Duty: Space Warfare.
The publisher originally filed the trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) in May 2010, but no game was ever announced.
Activision dropped its trademark for Call of Duty: Secret Warfare during summer 2011
The publisher continues to hold trademarks for Call of Duty: Future Warfare and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, though no products attached to those names have been announced.
An Activision representative was not immediately available to comment.
The next entry in the series is this fall's Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will be available for current- and next-generations consoles, as well as PC.
