Adam Lambert, Rye Rye Release New Albums; The Wanted, Justin Bieber Perform At Billboard Music Awards

Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

GLAMBERTS, the wait is over! Adam Lambert promised us a "Mapril" release date for Trespassing after his initial scheduling came and went. Apparently "Mapril" translates to Tuesday, May 15, as that's when he delivers his long-awaited sophomore album. Catch him live on TV as he returns to the "American Idol" stage on Thursday. Also, Rye Rye's Go! Pop! Bang! streets, and it's primed for the dance floor. The week ends with the "Billboard Music Awards" where Justin Bieber, The Wanted, Kelly ClarksonLMFAO, Usher and more perform.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

Tuesday, May 15

+ Adam Lambert, Trespassing: It's finally here! The title track (which nods to "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen, whom he'll sing with this summer), the Bruno Mars-penned, Dr. Luke-produced "Never Close Your Eyes," and the reflective ballad "Better Than I Know Myself" are just a few of the songs with which we're obsessed... and incidentally, here are 10 things he's obsessed with.

+ Rye RyeGo! Pop! Bang!: Once M.I.A.'s sidekick, now an artist in her own right, Rye Rye's debut features three collabos with M.I.A., whose label imprint N.E.E.T released the album. Highlights include the oscillating rhythm bomb of "Drop Off Shake Off," dancefloor banger and Tyga-assisted "Shake Twist Drop," the slick rap-pop ballad "Never Will Be Mine" featuring Robyn and the infectious "Boom Boom."

+ Cherri BombThis Is The End Of Control: The 12-song debut album from the all-female quartet fronted by Julia Pierce features the anthemic "Let It Go" and their hard-rocking "Shake The Ground," which also appears on the Avengers Assemble album that features songs from and inspired by the movie.

Check out more new album releases and upcoming TV appearances and performances after the jump.

+ mewithoutYou, Ten Stories: Their single may be called "February 1878" but it's in step with the times with Aaron Weiss's modern post-hardcore, talk-sung storytelling delivery. On their fifth studio effort the indie band spins an allegorical tale based on a circus train crash in 19th century Montana.

+ Best CoastThe Only Place: Produced by Jon Brion, Best Coast's sophomore album brims with shimmery girl-group inflected songs. While the music sounds sunny and buoyant, singer Bethany Cosentino explores matters of the heart -- of the achey, yearning variety. It's a pretty juxtaposition of emotions, all accomplished in a compact 35 minutes.

+ The CribsIn The Belly Of The Brazen Bull: The Brit pop-rockers and brothers (who return as a trio after their amiable split with former Smiths' guitarist Johnny Marr) hunkered down in Chicago to record part of their recent effort with renowned producer Steve Albini. Their time in the Windy City inspired one of the album's highlights, the catchy "Chi-Town."

+ Beach HouseBloom: Beach House continue their mastery of synth-laden dark and hypnotic dream pop on their fourth album. Fronted by the compelling Victoria Legrand, her vocals express longing and regret in equal measure. Standout tracks include the glistening "Other People " and the memorable "Hours."
