Welcome to Action Figure Insider’s 9th Anniversary “Scoop Week!” As has been the case for the past eight years, on the week of our anniversary of AFi’s launch, we have a little something we like to call “Scoop Week” where we bring you a variety of exclusive news on all your favorite action figure, collectibles and toy lines. We reached out far and wide to a variety of companies that have been incredibly generous to give us scoops and exclusive news. We had so many responses that several day we will have multiple scoops so make sure you are checking back each day!
Today we have a figure reveal from Jean St. Jean Studios and their newly announced “Creatureplica” action figure line. This line was revealed back in March at the HorrorHound Weekend convention. Jean loves all of the creatures in Cryptozoology and is taking a lot of care with sculpting the all of the different versions of the legends. All the cryptic man beasts are going to have different looks. Jean is not a fan of when companies take an existing Sasquatch sculpt and give it a white repaint and call it a yeti.
There are things un-described by science on the fringe. True dedication to native folklore, witness reports and historical record is the basis for the genesis of Creatureplica and the creation of our sculptural depictions. Our initial wave is in scale with 6” and 7” action figure lines, fully articulated with environmental bases. Creatureplica is allowing me to approach this line with a level of attention to detail, sculptural refinement and authenticity that hasn’t been given to the topic before. With that said, you’re going to be seeing things that aren’t going to look like the typical versions of cryptids that are generally thrown out there by typical toy manufacturers.
Until now, serious crypto toy lines were as rare as the creatures themselves. Prepare to enter the primordial woods and frozen wastes of the world and explore it’s darkest corners. There are things undescribed by science on the fringes, stomping through the forest, chittering in the shadows. Join us in our quest. And Beware.

Today we get to reveal one of the exclusive beast-man variants: The Skookum:
“The Skookum, a forest devil or evil spirit incarnation of the north american sasquatch in the folklore of the pacific northwestern Chinook tribes of the US.”
Here are some turn-arounds of the Skookum head:
Thanks to Jean for letting us reveal this variant. We will keep you updated on the progress of this much anticipated figure line!
