Welcome to Action Figure Insider’s 9th Anniversary “Scoop Week!” As has been the case for the past eight years, on the week of our anniversary of AFi’s launch, we have a little something we like to call “Scoop Week” where we bring you a variety of exclusive news on all your favorite action figure, collectibles and toy lines. We reached out far and wide to a variety of companies that have been incredibly generous to give us scoops and exclusive news. We had so many responses that several day we will have multiple scoops so make sure you are checking back each day!
It looks like we still have enough scoop-idge to last us into Saturday so lets keep the anniversary party train going!
Here were are at the SECOND scoop for Friday with our old pals from NECA. Randy and NECA, in their infinite generosity, have participated in every single scoop week we have done at AFi, and this year is no exception! This year we get to debut one of NECA’s 2014 Comic Con exclusives!

SDCC Super Freddy Retro Style Figural Doll
This poseable 8.5″ figure is dressed in tailored fabric clothing similar to the retro toy lines that helped define the licensed action figure market in the 1970s.
Freddy is based on the iconic Nightmare On Elm Street Part 5: The Dream Child comic book dream sequence where he becomes “Super Freddy” This is the first time this version of Freddy has ever been represented in figure, statue or doll form. Freddy includes his trademark glove and a removable hat.
