Twice a month the gang from Mattel are kind enough to answer five questions from AFi readers.  The Mattel marketing and PR team, have replied with the answers to our latest round of questions that AFi readers have posted in our forums.

Let’s get to the questions and the answers!

Q1. The SDCC MOTU book from the Mattel design team a few years back was labeled as “volume one”  will we ever see a volume 2 for MOTU or any other Mattel line?

A1. Right now there are no direct plans but you never know what the future will bring.

Q2. Are we going to have to wait until SDCC for new Young Justice reveals? [Editor's Note - Submitted before the news of the line's demise]

A2. At this time there are no more reveals for this line.

Q3. Can you please please please place the recycle symbol on your plastic ?????

A3. We will pass this request to the safety group but it is likely a requirement we can not alter.

Q4. Has Mattel given any thought to advertising the 2013 CIE subscription in DC comics for a couple of months before it goes on sale? It seems like an ideal way to reach fans/collectors/potential collectors who might miss the Comic Con news and also may not like Mattycollector on Facebook, follow it on twitter, or even know about the site at all.

A4. We are looking into alt ways to promote the 2013 sub, but we also feel confident that it will be a lot smoother this year as by the time the 20913 sub goes on sale we will have revealed all of 2012 and the first few figures of 2013.   Plus 2012 customers will already own the first few figs so a lot more will be known vs. last year when the club was put together and promoted very last minute.

Q5. Will we ever see the unreleased Dr Polaris, Shazam, Faceless Hunter, Gentleman Ghost, Flash, Batman: The Brave And The Bold Figures? Even as a collectors set! My collection feels very empty without them!

A5. Alas, this line is pretty much done and there are no plans for a release.
