Twice a month the gang from Mattel are kind enough to answer five questions from AFi readers.  The Mattel marketing and PR team, have replied with the answers to our latest round of questions that AFi readers have posted in our forums.

Q1.  Will you ever offer Panthor with flocking as a variant, exclusive? Maybe in a 2pack with a Filmation accurate Skeletor?

A1.  It is possible but for the immediate future we are going to focus on original characters (including beast slots) in order to maximize what we can produce in a marketplace of ever increasing costs.

Q2.  It seems that the DC 6″comic line changes the way it is produced and presented at retail every few years, from DCSH, to DCUC to the Batman and DC unlimited lines. Will you ever go back to doing DC waves at retail that include CnC pieces of over-sized characters when the line next gets rebranded? It seems that DCUC was always a hit with fans and most brought full waves for the CnC, where as now they cherry pick, which must hurt sales?

A2.  It’s always a possibility.  For now we hope that you are enjoying the awesome line up of figures in the DC Comics Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines. 

Q3.  Will the new flight stands be available with the Early Access items next month or will we have to double-up on shipping to get both?

A3.  They are available for Early Access and will be offered Evergreen until they sell out.

Q4.  Any shot of getting any of the WWE NXT title belts packed in the Elite line (Elite Big E Langston most likely)?

A4.  A great idea. We don’t have plans right now but keep your eyes out.

Q5.  I’m a little late to the motuc game and I only get essential characters. When will a classic version of Teela be made available for purchase again? It’s been a long time, you’ve got bubbles she ra, and Teela is a CORE member of the Masters! Please make it happen!

A5.  Teela has sold out and we do not have plans for a reissue. We offered reissues for over 2 years and only He-Man came close to performing. If we can’t move enough Skeletors and Man-At-Arms for a second run, it makes it really hard to justify doing a second run of anyone else.
