It was almost inevitable.  Dice Masters, WizKids dice and card game, has released it latest round of pieces and its is themed on the recent Marvel blockbuster movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Age of Ultron Dice

Backing up, Dice Masters is a game where you start with generic dice which give you various forms of energy.  You use this to buy hero, villain or monster dice, which you use to attack your opponent.  Your opponent uses his heroes, villains or monsters to block.  Unblocked attacks (and other effects) reduce your opponents life points.  The first one to reduce the other guy’s life points to zero is the winner.  At this point, we have Marvel, Yugioh, Dungeons and Dragons and DC characters.  One of the awesome aspects of the game is you can mix and match characters across all licenses.

Dice Masters Rocket Raccoon

Age of Ultron is the 3rd Marvel set.  There are new versions of classic Avengers like Iron Man and Captain America, but also, for the first time we are getting dice and cards for Guardians of the Galaxy characters including Rocket Raccoon and SHIELD agents like Phil Coulson.

Age of Ultron Starter Set

Like previous releases, there is a starter set, which includes everything 2 players need to get started, booster pouches which contain 2 random cards and corresponding dice, a play mat, and a collectors box.
