Bohemia Interactive's upcoming military shooter launching at retail and digitally next month.
Military shooter Arma III will release worldwide on September 12, developer Bohemia Interactive announced today. The game will be available in digital and physical stores on that date.
To mark the countdown to launch, the Arma III development team will host a Twitch TV livestream on Saturday, August 10 at 17.00 UTC from the company's headquarters in Prague where they will show off a "sneak peek" at the game's release package.
Bohemia Interactive has also launched a special website counting down to the game's launch, featuring an overview of content available in Arma III, as well as descriptions and screenshots.
As announced earlier this week, Arma III will release without its single-player campaign. This mode will be released after launch across three free expansion episodes. The first episode, Survive, will be made available about a month after Arma III launches. The following expansions, Adapt and Win, will release "in the months thereafter."
At launch, players will have access to the island terrains of Altis (270 km²) and Stratis (20 km²), 12 single-player missions, three faction showcases, nine multiplayer scenarios, 10 firing drill challenges, over 20 vehicles and 30 weapons, and modding support.
Gamers can participate in the game's beta today by purchasing the game from Steam and the Bohemia Interactive store for $44.99.
