Push your current generation console to the limit with futuristic sci-fi shooter Crysis 3.
This week sees the release of Crytek's futuristic sci-fi shooter Crysis 3 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Set in New York 24 years after the events of Crysis 2, the game casts players such as Prophet, a super-soldier seeking vengeance.
According to Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli, the game is one of the most technically competent titles ever released on current-generation consoles, and is using almost every ounce of power from existing platforms. Crysis 3's PC requirements were revealed late last year, with specifications noting that it will not support operating system Windows XP.
Cevat Yerli has stated that a Wii U version of the game is unlikely to be released, citing a "lack of business drive" between EA and Nintendo. Crysis 3 is due out for the 360, PS3, and PC on February 21.
On the other end of the spectrum, role-playing game Persona 4 Golden will be available for the PlayStation Vita this week. A remake of the 2008 PlayStation 2 RPG Persona 4, the game boasts a number of updates, including a new character, additional voice work, and new animated cutscenes. Additionally, the title will include a new wireless support feature that allows players to call for help when near death.
Persona 4 Golden was rated highly in GameSpot's review, receiving praise for its memorable characters and wealth of new content.
Other titles out this week include Capcom Arcade Cabinet on Xbox Live and Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires for PS3. For the full details on games out this week, check out the list below.
