Overkill Software's anticipated cooperative FPS game Payday 2 breaks into Australian retail this week.
Gather friends to form a heist team this week with the release of cooperative first-person shooter Payday 2.
A sequel to Overkill Software's 2011 FPS game Payday: The Heist, Payday 2 allows players to team up with friends to conduct a variety of bank heists and robberies in a similar format to that of its predecessor.
The sequel introduces a number of features, including a new skill and progression system. The game also features four different professions, each with its own unique abilities.
Lead designer David Goldfarb confirmed with GameSpot earlier this year that microtransactions will not be featured in Payday 2.
Starbreeze Studio, which acquired developer Overkill Software in 2012, announced last week that game preorders have already covered the money invested by publisher 505 Games. Payday 2 hits stores on August 15 for the 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The PC version of Payday 2 is a digital-only release and will be available through Steam.
