California metal band extends partnership with Activision and Treyarch with new song "Carry On" to be featured in latest Call of Duty.
Activision is again working with metal band Avenged Sevenfold. The band's new single "Carry On" will be featured in November's Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the band has announced. The track is embedded below.
The Huntington Beach, California-based band also wrote a song for 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops. The appropriately named "Not Ready to Die" was featured in the game's Call of the Dead zombies downloadable content.
Black Ops II not only features the musical work of Avenged Sevenfold, but also Academy Award-winning composer and Nine Inch Nails leader Trent Reznor, who created the game's title track. The rest of the game's soundtrack was composed by Jack Wall, who was behind Mass Effect 2's music.
