San Francisco, CA, September 17, 2014—Renowned artist Mike Doyle’s Beautiful LEGO® took the world by storm in 2013. The first major art book to display a collection of masterpieces by the world’s most creative LEGO builders, Beautiful LEGO captured immediate national attention and praise. This awe-inspiring, coffee-table book was unlike any seen before—until now.
This November, Doyle returns with Beautiful LEGO® 2: Dark (Nov 2014, 340 pp., $39.95, 4C, cloth, ISBN 9781593275860). This all-new, expertly curated collection of intricate LEGO art displays works so striking that readers will gape at every turn of the page.
Painstakingly crafted ships, skyscrapers, robots, aliens, insects, and even majestic flying beasts—visions from fantasy and science fiction—come to life. And all of it starts with the diminutive LEGO brick.
With more than 50,000 copies in print of the first volume of Beautiful LEGO, translations into multiple languages, and the LEGO Group now the biggest toy maker in the world, this stunning coffee-table book is sure to make an impact this holiday season.
Beautiful LEGO 2 arrives in fine bookstores everywhere this November where it’s sure to prove, once again, that LEGO can be high art.
