We're just a few days away from Amazon Prime Day 2024 on July 16 and 17, but we're already seeing a ton of great sales online already, including a bunch of discounts on video game controllers. While it's likely we'll see even more deals during the event itself, these early Prime Day controller deals are worth taking advantage of now, since it's likely they'll sell out or disappear quickly. The current controller deals including wired and wireless models that work on console, PC, and even smartphones. You'll find standard pads like the Xbox Wireless Controller, as well as Pro models like the Elite Series 2 and Elite Series 2 Core. A myriad of Switch controllers are discounted ahead of Prime Day, including multiple Joy-Con colors. And if you're playing on PC, be sure to check out one of the many 8BitDo controllers up for grabs, including the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller With Charging Dock. Amazon Luna Bluetooth Controller
$40 ($70) | Windows, Mac, smartphones Even if you don't use Amazon's Luna game streaming service, the official Luna wireless controller is worth picking up while it's on sale. It's an excellent Bluetooth gamepad you can use on PC, Mac, and mobile. It's also designed to work with Amazon Luna and features a Luna menu shortcut button--but again, you don't need to be a Luna user to play with the controller. However, since Amazon Prime members get free Luna games each month, it might be worth checking out.
Victrix Pro BFG
Our favorite modular controller for PC and PS5, the Victrix Pro BFG wireless, is also on sale at Amazon right now. This is a great pad for many reasons--it feels great, has a good battery life, and sports extra pro-style remappable buttons--but the modular design and bevy of customization options are what make it shine. You can change the stick layout and length, swap between multiple D-pad styles, and even convert it into a six-button pad that's perfect for fighting games.
Razer Wolverine V2 Wired Gaming Controller
$60 ($100) | Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC Razer's wired Wolverine V2 is a great choice for Xbox and PC players. The pad features tactile button and D-pad mechanical switches for a responsive, clicky presses. It also includes multiple shoulder trigger sensitivity options and two bonus remappable face buttons.

$200 ($250) | Windows, PS5 The wireless Wolverine V2 model is similar to the wired variant in terms of its look, feel, and button layout, but it adds several extra features, including Bluetooth support, four remappable back triggers, RGB lighting support, and interchangeable joysticks. It also supports PS5 and PC, whereas the wired version works on Xbox and PC. However, since this controller features offset sticks, it's also a great option for PS5 players who prefer the Xbox-style thumbstick layout.

The standard Xbox Wireless Controller is one of the best on the market. With an ergonomic design, responsive buttons, durable construction, and support for Xbox, PC, and mobile, it's a great all-around gamepad. Several variants are on sale ahead of Prime Day, giving you a chance to add a new one to your collection for cheap.
Xbox Elite Series 2 Core (Red)
$96 ($140) | Xbox, PC, iOS, Android If you're looking for an Xbox controller with a few additional features, consider the Elite Series 2. It features enhanced rubberized grips, hair trigger locks, and support for three custom profiles, a nice upgrade from the standard controller. This version also looks great, as its faceplate is coated in a gorgeous red.
Xbox Elite Series 2
$149 ($180) | Xbox, PC, iOS, Android The Xbox Elite Series 2 is about as fancy as Xbox controllers get. Not only does it include rubberized grips, hair trigger locks, and custom profiles, but you can also swap out thumbsticks, D-pads, and back paddles to fit your personal needs. The current price is one of the best we've seen this year, and we're not sure how much lower it'll go during Prime Day.
Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controllers (Switch, PC, iOS, Android)
Nintendo Switch Joy-Con are notoriously expensive, carrying a usual price tag of around $80. A handful of models are on sale at Walmart right now, including popular colors like Neon Blue & Neon Yellow and Neon Pink & Neon Green. They work flawlessly with Switch, but you can also pair them to PC and mobile via Bluetooth.
ASUS ROG Raikiri Controllers
Two versions of the ROG Raikiri are up for grabs, both of which are officially licensed for Xbox. The first is the standard Raikiri, featuring back buttons, adjustable trigger depths, remappable buttons, and customizable joystick sensitivity. The other model is the Raikiri Pro, which gets you all the above plus a built-in OLED to help manage all your settings.
SteelSeries Stratus+ Bluetooth Controller
$28 ($60) | Android, PC If you're looking for an affordable gamepad for Android gaming, the Stratus+ is a solid choice. The full-sized controller gets a staggering 90 hours on a single charge, comes with a detachable phone mount, and is equipped with Hall Effect triggers for a premium feel. You'll even get clickable analog sticks, giving you a few other input methods for all your favorite games.
8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller With Charging Dock
$52 ($70) | Switch, PC This deal is only available to Prime members, but it brings the popular controller down to one of the best prices of the year. Along with an included charging dock, the gamepad features Hall Effect joysticks, two back paddles, rumble support, and a 22-hour battery life. It'll work with Switch and Steam Deck via Bluetooth or the 2.4GHz adapter, while PC requires either the 2.4GHz adapter or USB cable.
8BitDo Ultimate C Wireless Controller
$24 ($30) | PC, Android, Switch It's not as fancy as the Ultimate, but the 8BitDo Ultimate C is a solid choice if you're working with a budget. It offers rumble vibration, a turbo function, and a comfortable anti-slip texture to help you keep your grip during long play sessions. Add 25 hours of battery life and an ergonomic design, and you've got a great gamepad for the price. The controller comes in two versions: a Windows model that also works on Android, and a Switch model. Both are on sale at Amazon.
8BitDo SN30 Pro Bluetooth Controller
$40 ($45) | Switch, PC, Android Want a controller with a retro flair? Then the SN30 Pro needs to be on your radar. It looks much like the old SNES gamepad, though it comes with modern features like rumble, support for motion controls, and both Bluetooth and USB-C connectivity. Its transparent design is also quite striking, and it should look great in most game rooms when not in use.
8BitDo Ultimate 2.4G Wireless Controller | PC, Android, iOS
Prime members can cash in on a deal that gets them the 8BitDo Ultimate 2.4G Wireless Controller (Genshin Impact) for cheap, while everyone else can enjoy a nice price cut on the pink variant. Both include a charging dock, Hall Effect joysticks, and work with PC, Android, and iOS.
Hori Split Pad Compact | Switch
A wide variety of Hori Switch Split Pad Compact models are on sale ahead of Prime Day. These are designed for handheld play, giving you a full-sized controller experience that's a bit easier on large hands than the traditional Joy-Con. You'll also find a few discounted attachment sets, which turn the handheld controllers into wired controllers that can be used while docked.

$48 ($60) | Switch The Hori Split Pad Pro is the larger cousin of the Split Pad Compact listed above. This version features striking Tears of the Kingdom graphics, with Link adorning the right side while black and gold iconography is on the left. The full-size controller is a great fit for gamers with larger hands, as it gets you full-size analog sticks, programmable rear buttons, and an ergonomic design that's great for long sessions.
Nitro Deck
$80 ($90) | Switch You can pick up all colors of the Nitro Deck for cheap right now, and it’s a nice alternative to the Hori Split Pad Pro and Split Pad Compact. Along with a unique design that cradles the Switch, it uses passthrough charging to keep your handheld juiced up, a companion app to customize your experience, swappable thumbstick toppers, and remappable back buttons. The version that's on sale comes with a carrying case if you're looking for an easy way to protect your controller on the road.
NYXI GameCube Controllers
You'd be hard-pressed to find an affordable and in good condition original GameCube controller, making these gamepads from NYXI your best choice for nostalgic gaming.
